@Ada or ardor : If I had known I would one day listen to a podcast on Tecktonik… It was really interesting! I have to admit I was among those denigrating it, I had no idea about what really was behind it. If that isn't a lesson on prejudices against particular subcultures…
Yesterday I made "golden milk" with curcuma for the first time and OMG it's so yummyyyy!!! Very sweet and with a little spicy kick, it's so comforting and delicious. I think this is going to be my favourite winter beverage!
I used oat milk (maybe about 3 cups? I didn't measure it ), 2 tbsp of turmeric, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of ginger, a little bit of black pepper and some maple syrup to make it extra sweet.
I think I'll also try it with almond milk in the future!
Today was really sunny so I went for a walk through the cemetery to enjoy some sun and fresh air. It's always nice and peaceful, but right now with the amazing colors of the tree leaves it's GORGEOUS. A feast for the eyes! I really need to get a proper camera and learn a bit about photography so I can suck less at capturing all this beauty.
Hello here! I wish I could post more but in this end of semestre I'm just capable of reading french topics. This is my first post for a while, and it's a pleasure writting in english. But I recently had to write an english script of a fictional YouTube video (for my studies), and a fluent english friend helped me to correct it. And it's tough to realize how many mistakes I make.
I don't blame myself, I only speak english here, so even though I watch series and movies in VOSTFR, I wish I were fluent without doing anymore work.
And I think that without anyone to correct me, I'm affraid to "built" bad habits. So If you want to correct me, just about one big mistake you see, please do it, it will encourage me continuing writing in english here. But I understand if you don't want to do that, no pressure!
My fluent friend helped me just with the beginning of the script, so if you can help me, even if it's with one only paragraph, I would never thank you enough.
@Rosenrot_ your golden milk looks so yummy! I keep it in a corner of my mind, for doing it during hollidays.
My latest YouTube discovery: videos of some guy's fish tank. You can watch him do the tank's maintenance, taking care of the plants, feeding his fishes or simply comment on their behavior, all with piano music in the background and the occasional water pouring or plant cutting sounds. It's all so soothing! I just watched 30 minutes worth of content while taking a bubble bath, I feel so relaxed.
Watch Kartoffel the Mahachai betta apparently angry at the suggestion of getting a girlfriend, as well as a nerite snail going full speed :
It's not 'right this second' anymore, it's 'right this second on my youtube feed' .
I'm currently watching a BBC tv-reality about pottery (The great pottery Throw down) and it's so good to watch . I love the clay, the glazes and how many different textures you can get.
It's even frustrating having to look at these through a screen.
@Croquemitaine : Do you have any ceramist / potter you like ? Or a ceramic brand?
How come you're obsessed with it? (I'm curious )
I don't wanna spoil you, but the winner of Blown Away is a really good one!
And I also enjoyed The circle (Seaburn and Sammie are my favorites ). My last try was Love is blind, which is cringy as fuck, would not recommend at all.
