I should work for my exam on wednesday, but something keep whispering in my ear that the Boyfriend/Cats/Netflix option is far more seducing. Dilemma

My roommate has written a book about working class in France. He worked at a factory for a couple of years, Florence Aubenas style (he's a journalist). I'm interested and he gave me his book. But he's elitist as fuck (yes I mean WFT do you even write about working class and be such a douche about Culture and Literature ?). Should I read when I wanna spank him at the same time ? (it's not a hate-reading kink, I swear).
I'll give it a try.
